Pre-Procedure Advice Instructions

Please read the following advice carefully:

Cosmetic and Paramedical Micropigmentation procedures normally requires multiple treatment sessions. For best results, clients will be required to return for re-touch appointment (some may need to return more for perfecting touch-up sessions). This will take 4-8 weeks after the initial procedure. Those with oily skin may require an additional touch-up. Please be aware that color intensity will be significantly darker and sharper immediately and few days after the initial procedure. Color will reduce by 40-60%.

If numbing cream is used during the procedure, sensitivity or discomfort may still be felt. Skin may be red and/or swollen after procedure.

Do not drink alcohol 24 hours prior to the treatment.

Although extremely rare, there might be an immediate or delayed allergic reaction to the pigment.

Allergic reactions to anesthetic can occur. It is the client’s responsibility to schedule a patch test at least 2 weeks prior to the procedure. By signing this form, you have received the patch test prior to your appointment or was notified of the possible risk and dangers associated without taking the patch test associated with the application of each procedure.

No electrolysis for at least 5 days before the procedure.

Hormone therapies can affect pigmentation and/or cause sensitivity

Fillers or Botox should be done 4 weeks prior to your procedure and/or 4 weeks after your procedure.

No sun, sweating or tanning prior to the procedure. If you are sunburned in the treatment area, we will not be able to perform the procedure.

Unless medically necessary, please avoid taking things that thin the blood like (fish oils, herbals,

Vitamin E, Aspirin, Coumadin, Tylenol, Niacin, Ibuprofen) 48 hours prior to your procedure.

You must have written permission from your physician if you are taking Coumadin or Heparin.

You must be off of Retin-A, Retinol, or Retinoids for 7 days prior to your procedure and avoid using on or around the area for 30 days after. If used before 30 days, it can cause the pigments to fade prematurely.

You have to be off of Accutane for 1 year.

Avoid alcohol or caffeine prior to your procedure, this will minimize any oozing or swelling after the procedure.

Getting a procedure while on your menstrual cycle can make you hypersensitive at the procedure.

If there are any blemishes, pimples, active cold sores, irritation of the skin of any kind, moles or other skin imperfections in or around the area of the procedure, the procedure will be rescheduled until the blemish or area of the concern is gone. (Please reschedule before 72 hours before coming in to avoid additional fees to reschedule).

Brow Patients: Do not shape or wax your brows before the procedure. Your technician will shape your brows during the procedure. If you get your eyebrows waxed or tinted, please have this done at least 48 hours prior to your procedure.
