Lip Blush, Lipstick, Dark Lips Neutralizing + Lip Camouflage

Whether you’re hoping to add a pop of color, create a barely-there beautiful effect, or correct over-pigmentation or vitiligo, permanent makeup for your lips can give you a look you want. In today’s world of permanent makeup, lips are a trending topic – especially now that there are more possibilities than ever before!

Even just a few years ago, permanent makeup lips generally came in only one style (the standard lipstick look). And as lovely as PMU lipstick looks, having other options is a major benefit. OM Studio has a team of PMU artists who are extensively trained in various techniques and styles, including specialty procedures for corrective purposes.

From a natural, flirty blush to a statement-making color, there’s a permanent lip technique that will suit your style.

Your Lips will be designed based on your lip shape and the color you are wanting. Detailed measurements are taken and permanent lips are penciled and colored on for your approval before starting the tattoo procedure. We can only reshape your lips to a minimal as it is not recommended to go outside of your lip line. We offer several permanent lip styles such as, lip blush, ombre or sakura lips, the lipstick look and also lip coorrections.

Our colors are custom blended, non-toxic, and vegan. They are made from natural mineral-based pigments. Color is extremely bright and vibrant during the first 2-4 days. Seven days later, all the scabs and peeling will be complete. Patiently wait 7 days for the scabs to natural peel off on its own after the healing of the skin. Color will fade 40-60% leaving a soft natural tint to the lips or a lip stain look depending on the procedure you do. Being on certain medication also has an effect on how the pigment heals.

The pigment is applied into the surface epidermis layer of the skin using sterilized tools. Pigment is selected with the client. We can customize the color to your liking. It is best if you can bring lipstick or gloss you like for us to match the color. After the healing period, color will become several hues lighter than the color implanted. Touchup is required after initial session if you would like more tint to the lips or stain.

Touchup is done 8-12 weeks after your 1st session because 40-60% of the pigment fade after the 1st session. You’ll return for a touch-up appointment to review the color with your technician and make adjustments if needed to ensure that you have the look that you want to achieve.

Healing is fully completed after 8 weeks and so we recommend to come in for touchup between 8-12 weeks to perform an obligatory addition of the pigment that has been lost. Color of pigments gets lighter and brighter as days and weeks go by. Unlike other permanent makeup procedures, permanent lips touchup is recommended to come after 8 weeks as the color will continue to change.

The Benefits of Permanent Lip Color or Shading

Sure, you could always keep stocking up on lipsticks and stains, but don’t you think it’s time to step into the future of beauty? If you’re ready to update your lips gorgeously, permanent makeup is an excellent option. With a quick and simple procedure, you can enjoy lips that always look they’re very best – with zero effort required.

There are many perks to permanent lips, including:

  • Enjoy no-fade fabulousness. Traditional lip color can fade within a few hours of application, smudging on your face, clothes, and teeth and coming off quickly after eating or drinking. But once your lips have been enhanced with permanent makeup, they’ll be picture-perfect 24/7.

  • Make the most of your natural lip shape. Figuring out the best way to put on lipstick so that it complements your lip shape can be a challenge. But at OM Studio, our PMU team will assess your facial structure and lip shape to create a PMU look that enhances your natural beauty to the fullest.

  • Save money on makeup. You might be surprised to learn that PMU lips can actually be a financially-savvy move – but think about how much you spend on lip products! Once you don’t have to buy lipstick anymore (except for when you want to switch things up for a special occasion), your beauty budget will go further than it ever has before.

  • Be ready for anything, anytime. After getting permanent lips, you can skip an entire step in your morning routine and save time. This is especially handy on busy days or occasions when you just don’t want or need a full face of makeup.

Frequently Asked Questions

Because there are so many techniques for PMU lips, it’s a great option for a diverse range of clients. If you want to add long-lasting color to your lips, either subtle or more noticeable, permanent lips are perfect for you. Clients that are struggling with discoloration caused by vitiligo or over-pigmentation are also an excellent fit for specialized PMU procedures, as are clients who want to enhance their lip shape.

OM Studio PMU artists create custom colors for each and every client so that we can bring your beauty vision to life. Depending on the effect you’re hoping for, your PMU artist will help you choose the pigment that’s right for you. If you have a favorite lipstick shade, feel free to bring it in as an example.

Usually, the permanent lips procedure takes between 2-4 hours.

Many clients wonder: does permanent makeup hurt? Most are pleasantly surprised that there is little to no discomfort during the procedure while it’s a somewhat unusual sensation. We also use a numbing cream to make sure you’re as comfortable as possible.

The primary recommended preparation for permanent lips is to avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, and alcohol for a full 24 hours prior, and fish oil/vitamin E for 72 hours prior. You should also discontinue use of Retin-A and AHA products and stay away from waxing, laser, and electrolysis for at least a week beforehand.

Usually, the permanent lips procedure takes between 2-4 hours.

We recommend that you do not get PMU while pregnant or breastfeeding.

After the first PMU session, an initial touch-up will be scheduled within 6-12 weeks to complete the process. After that, many clients get a color boost after 12 months, though a full touchup isn’t generally needed for  2-3 years.
